Araba — Real Estate with Reels

A property platform built on social-network logic: listings presented as short-form reels and photo tours, with likes, saves, follows and reports — a complete app API behind a light admin panel.

Overview

Property marketplace that blends classifieds with social content: listings and virtual tours, short‑form reels with likes, comments and following, saved properties, reports and support.

01The challenge

Traditional property listings are static photos and long copy, and users don’t read them. The real competition isn’t another property site but the short-form video users have been trained to scroll.

That changes the model: media is not an attachment to a listing but the product being shown — with its own ordering, type and behaviour, and interaction (like, save, follow) rather than mere viewing.

02What we built

Media was built as a first-class entity: reels and photo tours with their own type and ordering, stored on S3 and served straight to the app. A listing carries its media, not the other way round.

We added a full interaction layer — likes, saved properties, following lists, comments and reports — so the platform knows what a user actually cares about rather than what they opened once.

The admin panel stayed deliberately light: properties, users, pages, FAQs, support and settings — because the real product is the app.

03The outcome

Listings are presented the way users actually browse, and the interaction layer gave the platform genuine interest signals to build recommendations and follows on.
